1st XV Rugby one step closer to national champs

A win against Opunake High School, 42-8

St Peter's 1st XV chalked up another win on their road to the national championships this week, winning against the previously undefeated Opunake High School on Saturday.

St Peter’s and Opunake Boys' 1st XV teams

In windy, but otherwise perfect, conditions St Peter’s played some excellent rugby, running in 8 tries to end the match 42 - 8.

Strong performances from Paula Mahe and James Thompson led the St Peter’s attack.

The team has one more hurdle to jump for the national championship; they play Western Heights at St Peter’s this Saturday. Kick off is at mid-day.

Ollie Norris will be reaching an impressive 50 appearances for the 1st XV, a rare and impressive milestone.

This will be our last home game for the season, we'd love your support!
